Customer Overview:
Suisan Company, Limited (SCL) is a food distributor on the Big Island of Hawaii. SCL's website design dated back to 1998, and they had minimal web presence. In conjuncture with celebrating their centennial anniversary, SCL looked to revamp their website, updating the design as well as providing tools for their customers.

Solution:
The best solution for SCL involved a three phase project.

Phase 1
Rebrand SCL's website to a fresh and modern design, incorporating previous design work done for their centennial anniversary collateral marketing materials. SCL also wanted to change its primary image as a fresh fish company to a globally-connected full service food distributor.

Using a partner design firm, Breakwall Consulting launched a new SCL website in March 2009.

Phase 2
This phase involves developing a product list application for SCL customers. The application will be fully searchable and sortable by brand, product type, and name. This application would also link products to related products, allowing the customer to view the variety of products for one particular product type. This list would be managed dynamically, automatically adding new products or deactivating discontinued items.

Phase 3
The final phase of the initial scope enables SCL to provide customer-specific product infomation. Using order guides, SCL Sales Representatives can proactively remind customers of their upcoming weekly order based on past sales. Specific for the customer, this list can also provide additional items that have not been ordered previously but are related to the ordered products.
